Mare and I had fun exploring the local ruins here in Ollantaytambo. We were lucky to climb around and explore on a day where there were very few tourists in town due to a transportation strike. Phil thought these ruins were some of the most impressive because apparently it was here in Ollanta where the Incas actually defeated the Spanish in a battle.Unfortunately Phil only had a chance to see the ruins from below. We didn't have enough time during his brief visit to actually climb any of them. These pictures were taken before Phil arrived. Note how I was able to avoid taking pictures of my expanding-self during this outing. Lucky for me, Mare was happy to be my model for this photo shoot. From up at the top of the ruins, we were able to get some really beautiful shots of Ollantaytambo.
