Last Day At The After School Program

It's a sad day to have to say goodbye to everyone at the Telecentro. I felt like I just arrived. I was just starting to get into the swing of things and now I'm getting ready to leave. Tomorrow there is a big celebration in Ollantaytamo in which there will be a reenactment at the ruins. I've heard it will be complete with colorful dress, lots of dances and food vendors. Therefore today was my last day working with the kids because tomorrow is a holiday and then I'm off to Cusco on Wednesday morning to catch a flight to Lima.

The kids were very eager to use my camera so I thought you would enjoy seeing my last day through the eyes of the kids. They didn't always capture everyone in the photo and in one case Brian jumped in front of a group of kids just as the picture was being taken...and I'm sure you will notice the amount of blank space above our heads in the group shot, but they had fun taking the pictures. The first picture is of myself and the two other teachers, Federica (from Italy) and Juana with her son Cesar, who joins us everyday and enjoys pulling the books off the shelves and then throwing them outside of the classroom :)
